SPERO (South Central Human Relations Center)

Spero, formerly known as South Central Human Relations Center, is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the mental health of individuals, couples, families, and youth through an integrated model of care. With nearly six decades of providing compassionate, innovative mental health services, Spero rebranded on January 1st, 2025, to reflect its enduring commitment to empowering individuals, breaking barriers to access, and fostering hope.

Services Offered:

• Therapy and Counseling Services: Spero offers a range of therapy options, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused therapy, group therapy, couples and family therapy, and online therapy. These services are designed to provide comprehensive care that addresses various mental health concerns.

  
  

• Psychiatry and Nursing Support: Comprehensive mental health assessments and personalized treatment plans are provided by experienced prescribers. Nursing support services offer medication management, health education, and monitoring of clients’ physical and mental well-being.

  
  

• Adult Services: Programs such as Adult Targeted Case Management (ATCM) and Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) are designed to help adults develop and enhance the skills necessary for independent living and community integration.

  
  

• Assertive Community Treatment (ACT): A community-based program using a holistic model to provide a wide range of services through an interdisciplinary team, aiming to promote stability and enable individuals to engage with community-based supports.

  
  

• Residential Treatment: Safe Harbour, a residential treatment facility located in Owatonna, provides room for up to 12 individuals needing treatment.

  
  

• On-site Pharmacy Services: Spero provides on-site pharmacy services through Genoa Healthcare, fulfilling all of Spero’s patients’ medication needs.
